Marquetry longcase clock Early 18th-century walnut longcase clock

A complete restoration service to longcase clocks is offered, including repairs to the movement, case and dial.

Wall, bracket and mantel clocks of various types are equally catered for. Certain other clocks and smaller-scale work may fall outside the scope of the workshop, but these are always happily inspected to see if help can be given.

Restoration services include

  1. Case restoration
Using principles consistent with fine antique furniture restoration.
  2. Dial restoration
Brass and painted dials restored, with makers’ names researched and referenced where possible.
  3. Movement restoration
Full cleaning and repair of all parts of the movement, re-setting of chiming, calendar or moon-phase work, and supply or bespoke creation of missing parts.
